SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH EMOTIONAL WELLNESS

Due to unfavourable living conditions there is depression and stress, there is domestic violence, alcoholism & other drug addictions, gender biases, crime against women and many more societal ills, which vastly undermine the progress of the society. The problem is magnified by unguided and unmonitored access of internet by young children which is wrongly shaping their mindsets and attitudes.

WE BELIEVE Community Counselling, especially in poor and unsupported communities is the solution to Prevent emotional distress and most crimes that are happening in our society today.

PROACTIVE SOLUTION TO PREVENT CRIMES

India has an acute shortage of Counsellors. Sleepwell Foundation partners with Sanjivini Society for Mental Health to create Counsellors at the grassroot level.

We conduct BAREFOOT BASIC COUNSELLING SKILLS WORKSHOPS to build this new force, a new catalyst for change within communities. These trained and empowered counsellors go into Slums and unauthorised settlements and in the communities they come from and mould mindsets and attitudes of teenagers across various sensitive issues to prevent emotional and criminal incidences in society.
