SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH ACT CLEAN

India is alarmingly filthy even by standards of poor countries. Most of our lakes and rivers are severely poisoned with urban and chemical effluents. The air in most of the cities, particularly in North India is polluted well beyond the severe level prescribed. It is apparent that we cannot clean up the rotting trash that has become so common on our streets all over the country. It is almost impossible to find any pavements in our towns and cities, and when there are some, they are strewn with trash and garbage. Clearly we are failing. We need a newer and better way of managing ourselves.

on our streets all over the country. It is almost impossible to find any pavements in our towns and cities, and when there are some, they are strewn with trash and garbage. Clearly we are failing. We need a newer and better way of managing ourselves.

WE BELIEVE that unless the sense of Hygiene and Cleanliness is instilled to our children, especially during early learning at a young age and to continuously guide and motivate them to establish this during their formative years, India will remain filthy.

ACT
CLEAN

proactive cleanliness drive

Sleepwell Foundation through its initiative Act Clean is actively participating in Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

We have undertaken
two important tasks:

1) To create awareness and sensitize people through step-by-step action plan—Act Clean, for individuals and communities in the form of a short film & document— outlining a simple and easy approach to Clean India. Act Clean is also the benchmark that Sleepwell Foundation follows to initiate, plan, and sustain its activities.

2) To implement cleaning programme at various levels including Institutes, Schools, Colleges and Work Places and Underprivileged neighbourhood.
