Rural India is the real face of our country as it represents 68.9 percent of our population. It is important to engage the rural youth, women and men both, in a productive way in tandem with their aspirations by providing them credible opportunities for growth and well being. In the globalized area, industries demand for more skills workers, making it necessary that workers have more complex cognitive skills than ever. Therefore it is important to meet the challenges and prepare rural youth with the proper education and skills they need.
WE BELIEVE skilling of the rural youth, especially women, will only be successful if there is infrastructural facilities within their reach.
Sleepwell Foundation has set up a modern Skill Development Centre at village Mirpur in Khurja, U.P. to impart employable skills to the youth of Khurja and adjoining area with collaboration with the Industry and Educational Institutes.
The Skilling Facility at SDC Khurja provides a wide range of vocational and soft skills apart from IT and English, the basic subject with application across all industries. Women centric courses are conducted to improve financial & economic status of rural women.
