Sleepwell Foundation conducted a Workshop on Emotional Wellness for the faculty and staff of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad, on 16 December 2025. Around 160 participants attended the two interactive sessions, which created a much-needed pause in the academic routine and encouraged educators to reflect on the emotional aspects of their professional and personal lives.

The workshop aimed to enhance emotional awareness, address myths around emotions in professional spaces, explain the science of emotional responses and stress, and equip participants with practical self-regulation and self-care strategies. Sessions began with engaging icebreakers that fostered openness and psychological safety. Tools such as the Emotions Wheel and simple neuroscience concepts helped participants understand emotional triggers and stress responses.

Real-life emotional moments were handled with empathy, reinforcing the message that it is okay to acknowledge vulnerability. Practical techniques like box-breathing enabled participants to experience immediate calm. Overall, the workshop highlighted emotional wellness as a core life skill essential for resilience, effective communication, and sustainable professional excellence.
