On August 27, 2026, Sleepwell Foundation conducted child-safety workshops at Swarn Public School, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, for Parents, Teachers and D-Staff/Non-Teaching Staff. A total of 73 participants attended the sessions. Facilitated by Pratima Virwani and Parveen Gautam, the sessions focused on POCSO awareness, child protection, grooming, digital safety and collective responsibility.

Parents – Building Communication and Trust: The session encouraged parents to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where children feel comfortable sharing concerns. Discussions covered myths around abuse, grooming, behavioural changes and digital risks. Parents were encouraged to build age-appropriate conversations around safety, boundaries and uncomfortable situations.

D-Staff/Non-Teaching Staff – Every Adult Matters: The session highlighted the important role of every adult in maintaining child safety. Participants discussed vigilance, respectful conduct, professional boundaries and reporting concerns through designated school mechanisms. The workshop reinforced that everyday interactions and observations can provide an important layer of child protection.

Teachers – From Awareness to Responsible Action: Teachers were sensitised to behavioural red flags, grooming, cyber safety and appropriate responses to disclosures. Emphasis was placed on listening, reassuring, recording facts, informing, reporting and supporting, rather than investigating. A short audiovisual recapitulation reinforced the message that awareness must lead to responsible action.
